Help Me Dress Myself

Awesome birthday gift no. 1....


....they are vertiginous and cool but I have NO idea what to wear with them. Most of my clothes are bold colours and patterns, so my shoes have to be black, metallic or neutral in order to stop people's eyes exploding when they look at me. I have no bright shoes other than a pair of  red uns which I can only wear with denim, and my blue wedding shoes which only look good with my wedding dress. What are my options here people? Is it black dresses (in which I look depressingly mumsy) or leaving them looking pretty in my cupboard?

    Green is always good with florals (Mother Nature knows best), or you could try them with cool colours like blues or purples, even denim. Ooh or gold? Or just go mental with colours and watch people's heads explode, why not?

    Those are seriously swoonworthy - I wish they didn't breach my 4 inch rule or I would so have them!

    I love the idea of florals, snaps for Kirsty! I worry too many rich jewel tones will take me into Cheryl Cole/Quality Street territory but a very pale denim might be good. Excuse for more shopping perhaps...

    I'd wear them with: dark denim jeans with a tan leather belt, anything floral, a cream knit, Kirsty's aforementioned cool colours, and also, (and I hope that it's not just me) a pale pink. I have a green velvet jacket in pretty much this exact colour and I wear it with a similiar pink to your blog page edges, if that makes sense. and they're amazing shoes btw x

    Love the pale pink best of all, YES! Still not sold on the dark denim - I appear to have an aversion to having two rich shades next to each other - but cream and neutrals are also a yes. Is this the excuse I need to buy that oversized cream cableknit jumper...
