The machine tries to eat my fingers, then eats the material, then tangles the thread into knots that seem to defy the laws of physics. Then I stamp my foot, and walk off.

Actually I'm cack-handed at sewing without a machine too; can't go in a straight line, can't make a neat stitch, can barely sew a button on straight. I dislike activities that I fail at, so I dislike sewing intensely.

K xKatielasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14286827059480866574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3227801669278401053.post-89005657616409414302012-08-02T10:59:37.402+01:002012-08-02T10:59:37.402+01:00I had problems with the sewing machine at school t...I had problems with the sewing machine at school too, my problem was making things go in a straight line. Impossible. I can do about 2 stitches then everything veers off madly to one side. It's like herding cats! I do things by hand - hemming, alterations, buttons, and I made my own cushion covers once! I'd love to learn to use a sewing machine though. Good luck!L1ndsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3227801669278401053.post-60468637343455838532012-08-02T10:58:19.194+01:002012-08-02T10:58:19.194+01:00Although somewhat handy with a needle and thread, ...Although somewhat handy with a needle and thread, I'm also useless with a machine. My mum and sister are amazing (as in my sister actually makes money out of sewing things) and they constantly laugh at my un-hemmed trousers and cardigans missing buttons.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
